About Matherne

Jennifer Matherne, MSN, APRN, FNP-C is a board-certified nurse practitioner at Westheimer Medical Group in Houston. She was born and raised in New Orleans, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center.

After graduation, Jennifer worked for seven years in the ICU at Children’s Hospital in New Orleans. She went on to complete a Master of Science degree in Family Nurse Practitioner from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center of New Orleans.

Jennifer has a passion for working with families to help them achieve optimal health. She’s long known her career path would involve taking care of people, and her compassionate demeanor is a welcoming experience for patients of all ages.
